About me


I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Computer Science and Computational Linguistics at Saarland University (Saarbrücken, Germany). Currently, I work with Vera Demberg's group on the ERC-funded project "Individualized Interaction in Discourse".


Research interests:

Cognitive Linguistics, how language is revealing about cognitive mechanisms, specifically semantic processes triggered by figurative language like metaphor and metonymy. 

Psychology and Neuroscience of language, how figurative language is processed in the brain, specifically metaphor processing in different populations (e.g., individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Alzheimer's Disease, or Aphasia). 

 

Teaching interests: 

Cognitive Science, Psychology of Language, Research Methods, Statistics, Topics in Cognitive Science (metaphor, semantics, pragmatics, cognitive approaches to language).
